Office Of General Counsel
Welcome to the home page of the Office of General Counsel at Columbus State University!
The Office of General Counsel (OGC) manages and coordinates legal services for Columbus State University, including counsel and advice to the President, the Executive Leadership Team and various administrators on employment matters, public records requests, business transactions, student concerns, and compliance with pertinent federal and state laws. The OGC also works closely with lawyers at the University System of Georgia and the Office of Attorney General.
The purpose of this website is to provide information about this office, the services performed by the OGC, and links to other sources of State and Federal higher education related information. The OGC is open to all administrative offices and academic units of Columbus State University. Any individual performing work on behalf of the University should feel free to contact the OGC for legal assistance involving their University duties and responsibilities.
The OGC is located in Room 206, Richards Hall. We welcome all calls and questions.
